OOER just had my first jump on the newbie

We weren't meant to be jumping!!! Doing trotting poles. Put one down to see how hw would react. Stepped over at walk.Put him in trot, he dived at it and JUMPED. My instructor says I am exagerating, he meerly took a large step but it sure felt like a jump to me

It was fun actually.

Wayhay! He probably loves jumping and wanted to make a trotting pole a bit more exciting!

See my post about first jumping after having baby. My 'experienced' at jumping mare leapt 3' over a trotting pole yesterday! Funny... then my inexperience mare trotted over the row of poles like she'd been doing it all her life.

My gelding tripped flat on his nose over a trotting pole on Sunday. In walk. Ho hum.
