I've had recurring problems with my back and pelvis for years and haven't been riding for at least 4 years as a result. However the last 2 years I've been pain free, so I exercised and dieted like crazy to get myself in shape, and went riding on Saturday with my niece ...

gawd everything hurts!

I could still remember how to ride tho' and discovered that my "eye for a stride" still doesn't exist ...

I'm going again and this time I'm taking my camcorder!!

I call that my 'cheese-grater' arse.
I've never obviously grated my backside but I imagine that's what it must feel like. Particularly after rising trot, no stirrups. I looooove my instructor....

I was allowed to keep my stirrups ... took me ages to find my "seat" for sitting trot, just as I got it, we went on to cantering
