Hurrah. :D :D

I had a very frisky brown horse yesterday but this evening, after putting up a fuss for the first ten minutes he actually worked pretty nicely bless his heart.

A fuss in brown horse land is the occasional fly buck so not exactly horrific. That or coming back at you and trying to bob off into canter. Hardly terrifying.

I am very glad I could get on as we are partying next week and I had visions of taken a five yo which hadn't been ridden for two weeks.

Anyone else managing to get in the school yet?

The chance would be a fine thing ! we are still frozen solid here. My horse nearly goes over just walking from his stable to field.

Our school still has snow in it. Had farrier out to put new shoes on today and have a horrible feeling they aren't going to get much wear in the next 6 weeks.

Well done you :)

I hacked out on the roads yesterday, but the farrier came today so didn't have time to ride as well.

Our school is still frozen :(

does your school still have snow in it?

Half an inch or so. We only ever had about three to start with and it's been above freezing the last couple of days so is going fast. We're lucky as we have silica sand and rubber which only actually freezes if it's really cold. Had to take it steady to begin but we have a snow free track now which we have been using which is ok for a canter.

Any one wishing to ride in the school is welcome. You'll just have to box up and come over :) Or even better, you can all come and have a sit on the brown horse! :D

Thats just not fair!! It hasn't snowed here for 2 or 3 days, but its so cold nothing has thawed.....even the river was frozen today :S I don't have much hope for riding anytime soon :(
Good for you though getting out and riding :) But I am totally jealous!!!!

I'm boxing up now. Will be with you by morning ;)
Seriously jealous, hoping to get to ride tomorrow. Not sure I want to risk the roads yet though.

me too, though I havent really stopped going for a pootle but today was the first proper hack in a couple of weeks. We are due to thaw out monday so hopefully the school will thaw - I have decided as soon as it has thawed we will do some jumping as havent done any since october!
