OOO scary! Homework help needed!

Okay, in my English class I have to do a speech on something I feel strongly about. Obviously I thought I would do foxhunting. (I am PRO so pro points only please!)

I am very very nervous as I am not confident in talking about hunting - dont know too much about it.
Also my English class is a bunch of attention-seeking loud-mouthed, close-minded townie CHAVS EVEN THOUGH we live in Wiltshire - the west country.

So facts on...

Just a hint generally in class they prefer you to do both sides of the story!

Hunting is part of our tradition,... we use dogs to hunt drugs and bombs so why not vermin, dogs can find anything with their sensitive smell..
Have you seen the devistion a fox can do to poultry/lambs, they dont just kill one to eat they kill the lot! so need to be culled. Animal rights say they want to protect animals, have you seen what they do to fellow man!! thats not kindness.
oh and dont forget to use pictures as it makes the talk more interesting and killls abit of time..

if you want a decent mark do both sides of the coin
the chavs in your class will no doubt have q's so prepare answers for obvious questions

Its is only our opinion - the module is "Persuasive Writing" so not so much arguement/debate as a speech on our opinion.

Any stories of anti-sabs? Good or *preferably* bad?

there was one recently where some sabs dropped paving slabs on the head of a terrierman but i would have to get the story for you have a search in the forum there are some scary stories in here

When writing a persuasive essay one very good technique is to pre-empt the other side's arguments and counter them e.g. Some say that fox hunting is cruel - surely it is far less cruel to have an almost instant death than be caught in a trap for days, or suffering wounds going gangrenous after a pot shot from a farmer?

By giveing the 'other side' in this way makes it very difficult to argue back, as you have already given arguments against their points

i did 1 on hunting a couple of weeks ago, was rlly woried bout it, and had sum idiots hu thought it would b funny 2 argue with everythin that i sed, but others actually listened and changed veiws on it- i sed a lot bout damage foxes do, and as it is a way of life , and that kinda stuff- but yer if u look up both sides the chavs cant catch u out!

It went really well! I was meant to do it yesterday but threw speech on floor and ran out. Was a bit sick too *looks sheepy*

Anyway, so I did it today! I was stood there and everyone was talking and I said to George (the guy sat in front) "Why cant I just say it to you?" and he said "Well pretend its just me, just be loud. Not that thats a problem for you." And I did it and everyone cheered. Plus the girl who did her speech b4 me who was against hunting was really annoyed because she "only had one night to write it." I think its because mine was better.
Alot of people said they didnt agree but thought it was a good speech. I was pleased!
