Owwww! I had a riding lesson yesterday - my first one in ages because normally I just pootle about for half an hour with no instructor - and I thought I was going to die of exhaustion! She wouldn't let me come back to walk to get my breath back (you'd think I was the one running round in circles, not the horse!) and when I woke up this morning my legs were sooo achey and they have been getting achier all day.

I'm such an old crock - I'm hobbling around like an arthritic John Wayne.

Any suggestions for fittening exercises would be much appreciated

although I have been going to the gym a lot lately so hopefully I will soon be feeling the benefits!

Apart from nearly crippling me, though, the lesson was great - I went over trotting poles in jumping position for the first time! (Don't laugh, all you spectacular show-jumpy people, everyone has to start somewhere!

Only way to get fit at something is to keep doing it, if you want to be fit at riding, ride, if you want to be fit at kicking, kick etc etc, thats the way I work and I'm ancient
