Ok so it might be shown as an example of how not to jump a jump

but it's still my picture in H&H!! Mwah ha ha!

My YO has taken up dressage this season and has got some good results and been mentioned in H&H but hasn't managed to get her picture in there yet!!!

It's not really anything to be proud of as it's highlighting my bad riding rather than any good achievements!!!

He jumped it!

I think the picture makes it look a lot worse than it felt. He wasn't *that* close to it but the fact that his nose is touching the jump makes it look like he's really close and making a huuuuuuuge effort to jump when he'd always just lower his head on the last stride to "inspect" the fence.

To be fair it was one of the first fences of our warm-up and it used to take both of us a while for him to get into jumping mode and for me to stop trying to showjump the XC fences and get him going more forwards which then resulted in a better jump. (still not great but better by our standards!)
