Unfortunately I don't know, it was on an email that was sent to me along with other animal pictures etc, hopefully the fire service manged to get the poor horse out in one piece...well it went in!

Got me thinking though, how many of us have actually noticed uncovered/dangerous drains before? I once rang the council about one in our village which was on a main route where alot of horse riders went past, god knows how an accident had not occured before then.

Ouch, poor horse! Hope they got him out OK, but I'm sure it can't be pleasant - reminds me of the time I stopped in traffic jam when riding my motorbike, and put my right foot down, only to find it disappeared down a 6 inch hole with all the weight of the bike on top of it. Cue car behind me hooting because I didn't move in when the lights changed till he realised I was pinned in place by the weight of the bike.
