OOps, changing ownership in passport

They won't say anything about it don't worry.
If they do plead ignorance and say you had no idea you had to send it off.
I have had one of mine for 6 years and haven't had his passport changed.

Thank goodness I am not the only one. I have owned one of my horses for about 18 months and havent got around to it yet.

The passport agency online advise that you should notify them of a change of ownership before 30days. But if you do it online you will get a receipt email saying "thankyou for your change of ownership from......."whatever original date you enter" If the previous registered keeper is the same one as you purchased the horse from there is no delay, however if you bought your horse from someone who gave you the passport but they never registered them in their own right then the horse passport agency will normally write to the last registered keeper confirming that they had sold the horse to whoever.... The law actually only states that you cannot sell a horse without a passport. I actually bought a horse with passport & the seller had only handwritten their details in, when I registered him the passport agency actually sent me a sticker and told me to place it over the top of the handwritten details. They are only interested in recording registered owner details. Hope this helps.
