further to my post the other day,

I had to go back to the tack shop yesterday- the headcollar was too small, i took my old Jeffries saddle (17.5" wembley Medium about11/12 yo and in excellent condition) with me, to see what they'd offer (Tower Farm buy saddles and then sell them on) well, i was totally amazed when they offered me £200! they had an offer on wintec vsd saddles £260 with the changeable gullett and cair system, so i bagged myself a new saddle for £60, seems to fit my new mare lovely (although will be getting a professional to check!). i'm far more comfortable in it. The new loan horse came with nothing, and i was borrowing a saddle from a friend, that i was going to pay £50 for - but its old, and not very comfy (for me). so its worked out really well, and i'm hoping that by having the changeable gullett and cair i'll be able to get it to fit any other horses i have in the future (although i realise i might not!)
