Super news MOC, even if I was in on the secret! You dropped quite a few hints on here that weren't investigated!
Great times ahead and fun for Quarrie.

yes, I think so. via Wales which might have been pointless - we've not managed to work that out yet. Lots of dead badgers and helicopters in that part of the world (funny what you notice) but it was sunny, unlike South Lanarkshire down to Manchester![/QUOT

Yep sounds like a kennels near me .

why so many badgers and helicopters then? ;)

I think the kennel in question is quite well know for smooths.

My husband does not trust me going on road trips- last 260 mile one to Essex brought sky back. Unlike our last boy, she gets on with all dogs so far, so no excuse not to rescue more, except house size..... But we are looking at a bigger house this year!

I cannot actually see the pic, so had to wait until other people pointed out what it was of. It is there, just really tiny.
How exciting! My mum has a smooth collie, a rescue. She is a dab hand at dogging in, although is gun shy so doesn't actually come out on shoot days. August to November we keep her busy. :-)

it was meant to be cryptic Clodagh, failed miserably ;) so many people don't know what they are-I keep having to explain it but should have known it wouldn't have worked on here.

he's 8 months old so only a month younger than Quarrie. He's also a little bigger than I expected but that happens to me a lot. He's not seen that much of life but is doing really well-really trainable as you'd expect.Very sweet natured-adores the OH which is good. He has terrible wind so looking forward to when diet switch is complete! First walk in forest yesterday and he looked like he couldn't believe his eyes (or nose) for most of it but really enjoyed himself.

I am aware its not the ideal age combination and we thought long and hard on it. All things considered the pros outweighed the cons and will hopefully continue to do so.

I have the smaller ones too but they both seem to prefer the XL one for wrestling! but I am not using them for chase and fetch type games yet as they are too young. They are for tugging and wearing on your head (if you are Quarrie!). Quarrie likes to carry one of the smaller ones on walks.
