Opening Meet and a few broken ribs!

Hi all,just wanted to share. Despite horrid weather it was a lot of people on the opening meet of Sandhurst Drag hunt today,and it was awesome! Grey one was awesome and jumped everything,i felt really brave and was jumping all the big stuff,all the hedges, was absolutely chuffed with my brave horse! All was well till that hidden ditch after quite decent hedge, and grey one pecked on landing and off i want out of the front door!But of course i don't do things by half,do i? Broke a rib or two on the same side as last time! Aargh! Hence trip to A&E.Now my well earned cup of tea and couple of aggressive painkillers, and a few pictures for you

I'm very in love with your horse!! wow! and think it was well worth your poor broken ribs so that We could all see the photos of you winging those enormous hedges !!! hope it stops being too painful soon ! (if only so that we can have more beautiful photos!)

That was my first or second only fair sized hedge,never jumped anything so big! Cant wait to go again!!!

Great photos and very well ridden (but ouch to your poor ribs). Friend of mine was out with the Staff College hunt today too - also riding a handsome grey . . . hope she had as much fun as you - but without the injury.

We're hoping to get out with the hunt soon . . . it's just too slippy for my boy at the minute (yet another grey).

I was thinking that too! Lovely horse, massive hedge. Much sympathy for broken ribs. Hurts!

Tomorrow!!!! Tomorrow we going hedge jumping again,to awesome meet at the awesome place, Moundsmere Manor,my first hunt last year was there, so it nearly an anniversary,i just cant wait!
Got my new jacket ready and boots polished!Flask full!!!
