If you had booked your horsebox in and taken it in for pre VOSA check (for them to take also) and dropped it in on the Monday, VOSA check today, (giving them 3.5 days) and told all checks and work done.

And if you then couldnt get through to them on phone....(they were supposed to phone immediately on fail or pass as need lorry tonight), but had you phoned VOSA direct and found out it failed 2 hours ago...

Would you be pee'd off?

Not sure if its back at Reading or whether still at VOSA in Bicester, nobody answering phone and as they did "all work required and requested on the brakes", still trying to work out what hell is going on.

Slightly hacked off to say the least!!

Will not be telling them I have phoned VOSA direct, will see if they dig a home for themselves first

I do however understand that despite brake work being done, VOSA could be a tad fussy and may need tweaking....

I suppose they might be trying to put right a fault and represent it today if the test station have a gap they could fit it back in to - or am I being a bit optimistic there?

I must admit - Bicester are my nearest but I don't go there - they can be a bit pernickety.

Its not unusual to fail after pre test check as test is computer on brakes etc but if pre brake check done at vosa should have passed on brakes in test or was it something else?

right!! - it failed on secondary brakes so not quite as angry now!! - they have been trying their damndest to sort those out but as lorry is ancient wasnt the easiest job. They are sorting that but in their sorting found a spring that needs replacing which VOSA should have picked up on as its a fundamental element of the suspension!!

So no shows this weekend, and have it back hopefully next week. Not so angry now especially considering their bill is a lot less than I thought they would be charging!!

Going to newbury next week, yes Bicester do seem to have reports of being a bit fussy!!
