So my favorite breeds of horses are thoroughbreds, hackneys and section d's! whats your opinion on these breeds and whats your favorite breed? interested to know what other people prefer:)

I really like all three that you have mentioned. I do have a huge soft spot for ex-racehorses and miss mine a lot (sadly lost her to colic). My favorite breed is the arabian (it would be stupid if I didn't as I have two, plus one half arab), but I like everything from shetlands to shires.

I have a thoroughbred. Surprised I bought one because I always believed the stereotype but he's such a confidence giver and more of a donkey :)
Love hackneys.. there was a stud farm down the road from my old house so I grew up with them. Really genuine little horses IME :)
Not a big fan of welsh D's but maybe that's because the only one I've ridden threw me off
Favourite breed is thoroughbred, but also love fjords and haffies :)

I have no experience of hackneys, I like tbs I find them quite straight forward just with a tendency to get a little fizzy, however I'm not sure if this is more due to feed rather than the breed, I know a lot of people think they need to be wrapped up in cotton wool and fed a lot but that is not true, providing they have enough shelter they can live out all year, maybe needing a rug through winter and ad lib forage. Sectiond Ds I love but they are a bit more intelligent therefore I find you have to be a lot more consistent, and if they do decide to throw their weight around your realise you have a lot of horse there. However if raised right and not spoilt they are lovely animals and give a wonderful ride. I personally prefer to have something with a bit more substance beneath me which is probably why I don't have a tb myself

I like tb's, I have an ottb and he is a sweetie. I am finding it difficult to work with him without frying his brain though as he is so different from my other horse. He is sensitive and super reactive and tends to worry a bit.
My Andy x tb x riding pony has inherited a lot of Andy temperment. He is super bold, brave and he meets challenges head on. It took a bit for me to gain his trust but now that I have it, there is pretty much nothing he won't do for me. He is very honest and tries his heart out. I love the Iberian breeds and would own one again in a heartbeat.

Guess!

I love them for their intelligence, loyalty and quirky ways. They are also hardier than they look, long lived and usually have a decent jump in them. They can be sharp, because they are bright, but I've never met one who was not genuine.
