Was just hoping you could give me your opinions before I broach the subject to my parents

Very briefly (I'm sure I've missed out a load of stuff

)...
Was thinking of getting a horse June/July sort of time (after my final A level exams) and taking a year out to work/generally take a break from school. I plan to go to uni after that to do a foundation art year and then a degree afterwards (but will be living at home so my accomodation costs will be quite low and my student loan won't have to go so much on that) and have a part time job to help with any extras.

Does this sound manageable to you?

Yes.

I don't see why not?! I am 31 and I am having to broach the same subject with my parents! I also live on my own, pay all my own bills and work my socks off everyday! I always like to remember that there are people that do alot more in their daily lives than me. I have no children for example, so if mothers can do it all, I certainly can!

Good Luck!

Yea you'll be fine. I've got horses, kids and I'm doing masters and I've managed. Like minkymoo says, there are always people doing more. Just take a break from part-time work at exam week!

I work fullish time, have 2 young boys, a house to keep clean - well I try.Oh and I non horsey OH to organise, and then go up at least twice a day to sort my lad out.Its hard to start with but once you get a routine you wonder what you did with your time before, my biggest gripe is sometimes I would kill for a lie in but my body clock is set for 6.15am for stable and exercising duties !
