Opinions on feed.

Hi what’s everyone’s opinions on Baileys performance balancer?
I was recommended to feed my boy it by Baileys however I’m still on the fence about it. Have people seen weight gain with it? He also seems to be quite fizzy on it, has anyone else found this?
Im giving it benefit of the doubt as not long changed onto it but just wanted to see what other people thought.

I would never ask a feed company for feeding advice - they will always reccommend their own brand.

I done my own research prior, it was between two of their balancers that’s why they were asked. Just wanted to know how others find their horses on it.

I've not used it myself but the main ingredients are soya and alfalfa which a lot of horses can react to. It is very high in protein as well and is seemingly designed for horses in a fair amount of work.

I personally wouldn't feed it. What are you looking for in terms of balancer? What results do you want?

I used to feed mine Baileys performance balancer, it made them fat and mental. Would never feed it again!

We've got three horses on it but they are all in a decent amount of work. Haven't noticed it making any of them fatter or fizzier although I would quite like it if one of mine could get a bit more oomph in his work.
