I think they tend to come up quite big (saddler I was talking to last week agreed) so if you are intending to buy one go and get it professionally fitted rather than buying online. I have the skull and the peaked hat, both are very comfortable and I know they meet all the safety standards for affiliated, RC and Pony Club.

i love mine and would definitely recommend it as a good all-purpose hat!

Absolutly brilliant. About 3 1/2 years ago I had gotten to the point of quitting riding due to getting terrible headaches when I rode, even for 20 mins of riding. The headaches would last all day. I bought this hat as a last ditch attempt and haven't suffered a single headache since. My head still gets hot and slightly sweaty but the ventilation prevents the headaches... it's fab.
I had the peaked version and it was great, until I fell out xc and landed on my head breaking the peak! I've now got the skull version

Deffinatley reccomend i now have 2
The ONLY thing i have against these hats is the black colour does eventually fade into a nice burgundy one lol

Love it! Used to be a showjumper and still have my GPA - wanted something similar xc, that you couldn't feel was there. Went for the ventair from burghley horse trials, and though you still get hot and sweaty, I, as an above poster says, no longer get headaches when riding. Unless they are stress headaches

My son has a slightly odd shaped head & these are the only ones that fit! Just wish they were cheaper as he had the peaked version, now I've had to buy the skull as well so he can do cross country.
