I thought they seemed a little plastic when we went to look. Looks like they're built on an aluminium frame with plastic panels, which is ok, although all the door handles and hinges are also plastic. Thoughts? xx

well they look lovely...we were looking for a 'new' trailer recently and our local dealer said that they were having a lot of recalls for things like plastic catches, handles etc.?? not sure if it is true or not, but generally I have heard that they don't seem to be built as well as the older ones??

Love mine to. The only problem i had was the mould on the roof but i think most people had this problem when the first came out.

Love our 511. Horses love it too - big, airy and solid. Borrowed a older 505 the other day and it's dark, dingy and so small by comparision.

Not had a problem with the catches etc and they as so much easier and more secure to use that the older style.

Mould on the roof has been a problem with most of the orginal new trailers - apparently they were sprayed with a preservative that's goes mouldy. Ifor have recalled them all, free of charge, to strip and repaint properly. Ours is there now - will report back on how good a job they do!

Just taken delivery of a brand new 506 - so far so good - nice and light and airy. Most of the 'new' catches are an improvement on the old.

Early days but the horses liked it and loaded and travelled well in it - I like the window at the front to - they can see out and you see them as you travel.

OH went to look at them for me - came back and told me to buy the old 505 classic - said the new one felt too plasticy.... have the classic now and love it :D

Can you still get the old classics, or are they only doing the new range?

Main worries about the new ones are the hinges and handle on jockey door, they don't up to much wear and tear? x

swapprd 505 for 506 as new horse too tall love it have camera in it and both horses seem perfectly happy in it.
