Opinions on the stallion Airborn?

I'm thinking of breeding from my Thoroughbred mare , not really looking to put her her to anything too fancy as we're only breeding for fun since she has to be retired due to injury, but ideally I'm looking to produce the foal for eventing and quite liked the look of the coloured stallion Airborn from the Shovern stud. Does anyone have any experience me with this stallion and what are people's opinions on him? (Would be AI due to the mares kissing spines- which vet has already said is fine to breed from).

She's an Irish bred Thoroughbred, by Hernando out of Step With Style.
I don't have one unfortunately and she's up at the vets at the minute so I can't get one, but she's 17hh, I guess her major flaws are she's straight through her hind leg and has long pasterns. Oh and she's either a tiny bit down hill or still slightly bum high. She's just sort of long all over bless her 😂
 
My word, she's nicely bred! Lots of top-class flat breeding. Her dam was a good winner, and Hernando was an excellent sire of stayers. The long pasterns are possibly from her GG-sire, Sadler's Wells, who passed them on to most of his stock. Never stopped any of his stock winning, as he sired a lot of good NH horses as well as those on the flat. Just out of curiosity, does she have much white about her?

I don't know about Airborn, but he's siring some nice stock by the look of it. They're young yet, so he won't have much to represent him under saddle, but he's siring nice foals out of all sorts of mares, and their markings are fun!
 
I don't know anything about her breeding as I've never been much into Thoroughbreds (but just happened to fall in love with her) so this is lovely to here thank you!
No she has barely any white on her, a small white star and a few flecks of white hairs that sort of make up a snip, and then she's got the tiniest, wouldn't even count it as a sock mark amount of white on one of her hind legs
 
Here is her full sister's pedigree. As you can see she's inbred to Northern Dancer a number of times (not unusual!) but also to Mr Prospector, who had a tendency to pass on straight hind legs, although he also passed on soundness.

She's from a very good female line - prolific dams of good winners for a number of generations, and a pretty sound, tough bunch. She should bring some good, solid toughness along with the longevity for which TBs are renowned to the mix. I asked about her markings as many of the ND descendants have a lot of white on legs and face. Sadler's Wells was very prone to this.

Here's a (not very good) video of Hernando while at stud. He was getting on a bit when this was taken, but he's still very full of himself! He was known as an absolute gent to staff and visitors, and especially to his mares.

Thank you for all of this, this is way more information than I've ever found on her.
She is incredibly tough, back in February she practically ripped half her leg off in the field but walked in sound as a pound as if nothing was wrong! A really tough mare with such a get-on-with-it attitude that I really hope she passes on.
I'll definitely post pictures, she's such a pretty horse and so talented that I have high hopes for her baby
 
Ah! Well there ya go!! Yep - tough as all get out. A friend who trains both flat and jump horses and who is very enthusiastic about TBs, always says that they not only cope well with injury but they have the toughness to come through it and keep going. I completely agree - TBs come in all shapes and sizes, but they are mostly very tough and have a real 'can do' attitude. She sounds lovely - can't wait to see pics!
