Would like your opinions on this horse please. He's a 2 year old colt that I went to see today. I went to see him last year and posted pics on here and people weren't too keen but just wondering what you thought now? Unfortunatly the photos aren't very good as he kept moving and the camera wouldn't focus due to the poor light.

Would also like to know how much you would pay for him? He is halter broken and was pretty friendly, although not had as much training as I would have liked. I have seen both parents. He isn't registered. Mum looks about 15hh bay middle weight mare and the stallion is an irish sports horse that looks to be 16.2hh.Stallions was a sj-er until he had an unfortunate accident but he isn't a well known sj, he was only just starting out so no extra value for the sires competition record.

Honest opinions welcome.

Have checked with vets and it would cost £150 to geld him.

How much are they asking?

It's difficult to comment on a 2 yr old.

At the moment his head looks too small, and his body very weak, but I actually think he has quite nice legs, even if his chest isn't deep enough. Those are my first impressions. I don't know that I would want him TBH, but what are you after, and what made you look at him?

The dun pony in my sig looks like she will be lame long term so I only have my bay mare to ride who is lovely and very easy. It might sound spoilt but I'm not used to only having one horse to work with so would be interested in a "project". I use the word project likely as I don't mean sell for profit asap!!! I mean it as something for me to enjoy and to work on. If after it's backed he isn't what I want then I will sell. Not rushing in to anything and pretty sure this colt won't be the one I get as the guy wants too much I think, hence wanting opinions.

I quite like him.

Wonder what they want for him??? For the right price I would certainly consider it.

However, you say your after a project whilst your little dun horse is out of action - what do you plan to do with him??

Apart from some inhand showing.......

i like him, i think he'll be a nice wee horse once he's matured a bit, not sure about price tho, i would have him if i had any extra money

Well I actually rather like the little fella. He has a certain something

. However odd an unexplainable it may be I get the vibe of an underdog that will come good.

No idea why I wrote that actually but it's in my head so it's in the reply lol.

I like him, sweet face, one word of warning though my colt was recently gelded & the final bill came it @ just under £300, He went to the vets to have it done but, then had another call out & a course of antibiotics..I'm not a lucky person!

I like him, he will grow into a stunning horse i should think price wise i should think about £1,500 to £2,000 as his breeding isnt much to speak of.
