Opinions on this horse PLEASE.

Hi,

I am now on the hunt for a horse which me and my friend are going to buy together. The problem is that it would need to be suitable for a novice rider (friend) but also for me to beable to do abit of workers/bsja ect.

Have rang who i always buy off (dealer but very good one) she has got a 10yr old 15.2hh, good looking (very important to me) and its safe for friend, and has points jumping 90/1m but rides to a 1.25m. Ok so not going to jump big tracks but might be good diesel horse.

What do you think its worth? i will tell you what she wants after some guesses.

Oh and has passed two 5 stage vettings. (timewaster backed out at last minute hence th 2 vettings) we might be going to see him tomorrow.

Sounds too good to be true but I would say around £5k, depending on its BSJA record.

If it's good in every way (flatwork decent, clip, box, no vices etc etc) £6-7k

Sounds like a nice honest horse. Odd that the timewasters paid to have a vetting though...odd that the horse had TWO vettings and wasn't bought.

I'd say around £2,500 - £3,000.

When the dealer imports them they all have a 5 stage. The timewaster then paid for another 5 stage, and then decided she wanted something younger than 10 years.

He has 16 points showjump abroad but that doesnt mean much to me!

I thought that too, why 2 vettings? would a timewawaster pay out all of that money for a 5* Vetting?

You'd think, wouldn't you. However I had the ultimate time wasters hire a manege, have the vet come out twice to see mare (once he couldn't finish vetting because the weather was so bad)AND have her scoped in Newmarket... BUT she never paid for any of it!
