Opinions on this horse?

It's only my opinion but he doesn't look built to last. He's heavy in front and over at the knee and he doesn't look too great behind either.

Photographs can be deceptive though, he might be better in the flesh - or worse!

Nice colour though :)
 
I dont know why someone would advertise with three year old pictures and such rubbish ones too!

If he/she can jump and do dressage I would expect to see relevant pics on an advert

Its a lot of money to consider travelling for without having proper pics, good on you for asking for more!
 
over at the knee and lacks a back end.

I wouldnt be happy to pay the asking price as been said before you could import better from uk for less or a simialr price.

Does look a kind chap though. Each to their own I suppose.

And if you r only having him to hack and have fun on I dont suppose it matters what others think? As long as he is happy and sound :)
 
Hopefully I'll be able to update this thread when I have decent photos :)

I agree there is not much I could do if he is badly over at the knee... however I'd hope that unless there was something terribly wrong I could actually build up his hind end with good training.

Like I said, you can't really tell until I get new photos.

In the meantime I am still keeping an eye out...
 
If the photo's were taken when he was four and are very badly done, it may not be a true representation of how he really is now.
Hopefully, the photo's and video you get will have be taken by someone who knows how to photograph a horse and hopefully the boy will have built his back end up now. Whether he is over at the knee or not, who knows ? New pictures may give you a better idea too.

nice sort, rubbish conformation, but ok for a tootle round.

hind legs are right under in the pic- i would be suspicious- might be a one off/ bad pic, but if not, IMHE that usually indicates back/ hind problems somewhere

for that money, you could do a lot better, but as i say- he's a nice enough sort to have a play with :)
