Any idea of age?

Looks a bit poor but nothing a bit of decent grazing wouldn't put right and possibly a good worming dose.

Bit of an upright shoulder but looks a like type.

What has it done??

He is underweight but looks quite nice. His shoulder is a little upright and he hasn't got much of a quarter, his neck will improve with weight gain. Looks young, perhaps about two, it all depends on what are you looking for really. If he is being purchased as a potential kiddies pony be prepared to but some work in as once they gain weight they often gain a bit of attitude.

My only advice is enter with your eyes wide open :)

Thanks all for your comments .

Yes I did go ahead and buy him, I bought him for £50, he is very sweet, no badness in him, nervous but possibly due to having a saddle dumped on his back by ignorant(no knowledge) people .

He has been with me one week now and I think there is abit of a change in his weight . The man said he was sold to him by a women from wales as a 4 year old . In my opinion he is verging on a 2 year old .

My 6 year old walks him around, He is a very sweet little pony . Will be chucked out to grass in the bigger field and left for awhile with every day handling just to gain his trust .

This is him just a few days after I got him .

Lovely little thing - well done you.

Give us a shot of his tail would ya? I recon he may be younger than you think.....

He is nice, I would say he was 2ish, when I used to show welshies we used to keep all our welshies tails like that so they always looked abit younger than they were because of their tails

I'd say 2 years old and a Welsh Cob (C, maybe D) and when matured and filled-out, he'll be a stocky chappie.
He looks better already in your 2nd photos - bit of weight gain and a bit of shine to the coat.
