What are people's opinions on the rambo duo rugs or any other rugs for that matter? I liked the idea of having different weight under-rugs but is this system really practical? My horses are in NZ and I will be shipping them so would like to get some feedback before I go spending the ££'s! My larger horse is 17.1hh and still filling out and most rugs rub his shoulders even though I don't think he is particularly broad.

We have three horses in Rambo Duo's on the yard. One is out 24/7 in hers, the other two are in work.

We found that the 18hh HW hunter was not quite warm enough when we had a real cold snap, and so did change his rugs pm so that he could have his duvet on.

However, the other horse in work seems toasty in it all the time. Both these horses are fully clipped.

Rather than the dui, if your horse is broad you might need the Rambo Exel for the larger figure!!!!!! Donkey inherited them from Stonks, they are a teeny bit large so might be heading to ebay but I love the rugs and they have kept her warm and dry all winter - feeling very guilty as I turned her out in heavyweight and the sun has not stopped shining today - she will be very very toasty!! -

The only thing we found with them is that the neck straps didn't last very long. Oh and Floyd managed to rip his in half somehow

I love mine.

Big lad wear's his inside and out, every day from october untill april, in one form or another. I got it last march and it has been great, never rubbed and is still in good condition.
I have washed the main part of the rug a couple of times, and the liners loads of times- they have all washed well.
He is quite a warm horse, although he is TB with a very fine coat, but he is not clipped, and I actually bought a second thiner liner as he was getting too hot with the 300g one on.

JHL (Jumpers Horse Line) TO rugs are fantastic

Got one for my big shouldered 16.2hh and it is very roomy, doesn't move and I cannot recommend it highly enough

Horseware!! I've got a selection for all mine, the rambos are great esp if they're hard on them but rhinos are also really good but not as expensive as rambo. The high necks stop the water going down they're neck but can rub the mane a bit so I'd recommend the the full necks with removable hood for the milder weather. They seem to fit all shapes even though theres not much adjustment on the front but don't move and stand up to constant wear and tear. The hw are really warm, mine only wear an extra rug under it if they're fully clipped and it gets really cold. I always recommend horseware!!

The Duos are fab - we use them on all our connies at work from the skinny show types to the chunky stally and they fit great, keep the warm and dry and seem indestructable!
