Opinions please... (can't believe im doing one of these)

I think you could do alot with that horse, and if reasons are correct maybe even get her for cheaper in the run up to Christmas.

She seems nice - my friend paid the same amount for a gelding although I think he was a little bit younger and had been to badminton a few times.

Looks like she would make a nice allrounder.

Her way of going is not terribly correct: not tracking up, quarters not engaged, on her forehand, and the 'break' in her neck is a long way back. However, looks to have good movement through her shoulder and conformation isn't bad (from what I can see from the pic). And she's pretty :D

I'd be interested to see a pic with someone standing her up correctly, no tack etc, to see if she's actually built downhill or is just going that way.

I recognised this mare instantly. She caught my eye in the horse ads section of Your Horse magazine last month. She was £6500 then.

*thinking out loud*

I like her - would definately take a look if i had the money. Possibly a bit green? She looks lifted through her back but not yet sitting on her backend (hence the poll is a bit low). Looks like she has been brought on nicely (God, just read that back and it sounds like i know what i'm talking about :o ) Honestly, that is my judgement from the pics but i am far from an expert. I would wonder why she hasn't sold already though - thats a big price drop.

Be interested to see what others think, see if i'm way off the mark lol :D

i like the look of her. She is short in the kneck which will make her look like she is carrying her head low. Hard to see confirmation but what you can see looks ok. The saddle seems to be lifting off her back so check for any soreness in that area.

If she was advertising for 6500 then they are off the mark and I think 4000 is more like it as no mention of any comp record

Although the horse looks very nice I would be questionning the sellers thoroughly about her temperament and any quirks. I just noticed that she is wearing part of a breastplate but only the neck strap part and it is not connected to the saddle. In my mind that is a perfect grab strap for when additional unwanted movements are added in! Why else would you have that particular piece of tack on - it isn't doing anything to hold the saddle in place. Just my sceptical mind maybe.

bounce - I think she actually has a running martingale on. I thought the same as you when I first saw the picture, but if you look closely you will see that it IS attached to the bridle, just very hard to see against the dark hedge.

Questioning thoroughly about temperament is always wise though, totally agree.

She looks nice. If she was closer I'd go for a look, she's at the top end of my price bracket but if she is genuine I'd pay.

Personally I'd like a confo shot on the ad as well as one of her working.

It also looks as though she hasn't done much which wouldn't bother me, but I would be thinking that I've seen horses with a BE record etc at this sort of price with the saddle thrown in as well.......

I'd make a bit more of what she has done, even if it is low level as she's in the price bracket for a good all rounder at the high end RC / low end affiliated sort of level and looks quite smart too.
