I have a registered miniature horse, he is also registered with the Arab Horse Society as a Part Bred Arab (22%)
For the first time ever I intend to show him in an Open Part Bred Arab class, immediately followed by a Miniature class. This is at a county show.
For the PBA class he should be plaited but for the miniatures he shouldn't. I really won't have time to unplait him inbetween classes and I really am cutting it fine as it is as one class is at 9.30am and the other 10am - different ring different judge.
The PBA class is not an affilliated one but the Miniature class is.
I keep his mane neatly pulled fairly short. Even if I were to take the plaits out I would have to soak his mane to get it to lay flat again. Ask anyone with a miniature how hard it is to tame their manes!!!
My feeling is to go into the PBA class unplaited although technically this is not correct, but then it would not be correct to go into a miniature class plaited either.
So would you go in the PBA plaited or unplaited?
