Know them quite well, they are one of our greatest rival dealerships locally.
Can't say a negative thing against them, they cherish a good reputation and whilst what you buy might not be perfect, they will tell exactly what you're getting.
We bought a horse of Caron, they are a good price, you can haggle a lot, and the horses are as described. You can get a nice horse there for a reasonable price.
I bought my horse from Carron Nichol (the one in the siggy below - the two left pics). He was exactly as described and although I've had a few teething probs (not her fault) he's everything I was looking for, bless him
I just noticed you're asking about competing - I think Billy Twomey rides for Carron sometimes and she does quite a bit of show jumping. I've seen a few of her horses in H&H in the SJ section.
Oakwood are very close by to where i keep my horse, yes they compete mainly BD i think although they do show jump a bit as well and x country school.
Caron is always out BSJA they have a nice yard ( a bit hectic) but well run.
I was due to go and look at a horse at Oakwood in March, but he had a foot abscess so I was delayed a bit until he was better, and in the meantime I found Ronnie. They came across very nicely, very honest.
Thank you for all your replies, I did phone Carron a week or so ago and she had a couple I could look at, so I will call her again. Its just that there are some dodgy dealers about and when I was younger, you only brought trouble from a dealer.
Thanks all
I've never dealt with Carron but know someone who brought from her - horse isn't working out and she immediately said bring him back and I'll give you something else or your money back - you can't ask for more than that from a dealer!
