Opinions please on our new web site template

I like the back ground but I'm not sure it works for the purpose of selling lorries, it seems very dark.

I do like the lay out as well. It looks like it would probably be fairly easy to navigate round (always important when your not techincally minded - like I am!!)

I don't like the background-sorry.

thanks guys, i had feelings much the same but was not wanting to be over picky. I dont like the horses as main home page they are too bold - my partner said it looks like "malborough (sp) ciggies " advert and it does not depict we sell lorries, its too dark overall and the thumbnails are too small! many thanks again xx

Style over substance --
Horses look a bit like a arty poster or calendar- , good image buit overpowers the lorries.
DIfficult to read small yellow type on dark brown/black.

Get designer to think of your target market, who may be a bit older than most website designers and need bifocals!
And idiot proof click to enlarge instructions.
Nice lorries though!

Hello,

As you may remember from my pm's, I've spent many hours looking at lorry websites! I'm still to collect mine, but that's another story!

Oh, actually do you know where you can buy the pull down blinds with the fly mesh to fit the tear drop windows...?

I agree about the back ground image being too dark and also it's not the most important message.
My eye is automatically drawn to the thumbnails but they are too small. On a home page I'd like to see instantly whether the company builds a lorry I'd be interested in and that's why I like the thumbnails on your current home page. I know straight away that I'd love one of your lorries!

Also agree that the type needs to be bigger and I like the top nav bar as it's v clear. I do like to see a 'For Sale/In Build' page though!

but its better than your current one, which is a tricky to navigate and a bit dated now, and that scrolling picutre jump and bunces on my screen makes me fee a bit seasick.
