Hello

Following my post last night, what do you think of ads like this, and do people ever actually reply?

Also, please feel free to tell me if you think the ad is rubbish or how to improve it!!

Wanted - super confidence giving pony on loan. 13.3-15hh (ish), any age, gender, shape or size!

I know these ponies are hard to come by, but a super, loving home is on offer.
Pony will have quiet workload - hacking, light schooling and 1 x lesson per week, the occasional PC rally or clear round show jumping or dressage test.
To give very small and ultra nervous 14 year old boy his confidence back after a disastrous horse owning experience. He is fantastic with horses on the ground, and a very neat and tidy rider. The pony will be very loved and well looked after - in return we are hoping to find him a pony who will look after him back under saddle!
To be kept at small, private yard in XXXXX under watchful eye of very experienced groom etc.
 
Sounds good to me. I also like the "any gender/age size etc."
It annoys me when I see people asking for loan horses but insisting on certain colours!

If I had a pony for loan I would call you on that ad.

Only thing that jumps out as a warning flag is the "disastrous horse owning experience". Lots of people have them, and you should definitely mention it on the phone/in person but it might make me think "oh, these people chose the wrong animal for thier son/didn't know how to manage it" to see it written down.
 
Agree with the "disastrous horse owning experience" you wander what happened- horse or boy?
Loads of people had had them when they came to see my 13.2hh pony... so would say about that on the phone, but leave in the bit about needing a confidence giver...
Good Luck- have you tried the pony club website? They often have some lovely ponies on there and you can get references very easily.
