is it for showing??

For a nice kids lR pony, yes, but it hasnt the quality required for showing.

If registered worth about £500

if not then about £400.

If it's unreg you'll only be able to do showing locally (RC level) which really limits what you can do. And unless it's an absolute saint, schoolmaster (which at 4 it isnt going to be) the resale value won't be much.

There are hundreds upon hundreds of little ponies about, and it takes something VERY special to reach a good price.

To give you an idea, a 3yo well bred (reg) sec A LR pony would set you back maybe £200- £300. To have it sent away to be broken would cost you about £150 tops. so for £450 you'd have a broken registered show pony...

It IS pretty but the mind boggles as to why people ask so much for these unregistered ponies.

Personally, I would do my research and buy something with papers for much less money.

12hh is also too big to be a proper LR pony (in the ring).

But the I am obsessed with LR ponies atm, and you might not want to show

if i can get the price down i think she wud be a bargain shes really only for my son, LR for now then obv as he gets better for lessons etc doesnt matter abou reg etc to us unless he did want to do something with her in time then it would have to be local!

I think it would be prefect if you are only sticking to local shows , if the temperment is right and its quiet enough then Go for it, Get her down in price though

and good luck .

And charlie .... "And unless it's an absolute saint, schoolmaster (which at 4 it isnt going to be) " ... C'mon now , you know tommy is one of those ponies

Buy it! As someone told me the other day, there's no such thing as a bad dun (or buckskin etc)!
I don't know much about pricing though, sorry.

I've got an absoulutely beautiful reg Sec A grey mare that would be right up your street, well bred, dad a Multiple Royal Welsh winner, super pony that would be perfect for you. (her name is Cascob Fanlight.

I've owned her for 4 years, she's 7 now, a born kids pony, wouldn't dream of kicking or biting, leads from another horse as well as from the ground and will hack out with us off lead as well (this is what she currently does) Comes to call, fab with the farrier, stands patiently tied, loads no problem, 100% in every single way you could think of for a lead rein pony.

Goes to pony club, not phased by 5yo waving flags around her ears, willingly trots on in the games and not spooky, stands like an angel in the showing and carefully steps over every fence in the mini jumping - has had a clear round rossie every single time. Is an absoluted superstar walking round the Roman Bank xc course, again steps over anything, inc the water.

She really is a fab pony and only just up the road if you wanted to come and see her. I'll be selling for just a little more than the one you have pictured (£1000) but she's already proven and knows the ropes and is an angel.

oh yes, but Tommy is special. And even then he didnt cost you nearly as much as the one above did he? which proves my point, you can get a good quality LR pony for next to nothing and have a real superstar on your hands.
