My mare has lost a little weight and condition over the winter and I would really like her to be a bit more rounder. I know horses drop weight over winter, but she has lot a bit too much. In the summer she was on conditioning cubes and alfa a oil. She looked fantastic and didn't react to the feed. During winter, I added micronised linseed, which sent her bonkers!! Her previous owner had the same issue with linseed. I then tried equerry conditioning mash and same story, I didn't realise it contained linseed. So I simply want to avoid ANYTHING with linseed. Saracens have advised I feed her Re-Leve and alfa a molasses free. I am keen to give this a go as heard good reviews, but wondered (a) what are peoples experiences with Re-Leve? and (b) is there any harm in having her on alfa a oil instead of the molasses free one? Is there much difference? Doesn't seem to be on analysis of the nutritional breakdown on dengie's website.

The alfa oil will have more calories which is what you are aiming for. I know people really rate releve. It wouldnt be my first choice, but its a much better choice than conditioning cubes. It should do what you want :)
