Opinions wanted on this mare please

She looks very nice :) I would say by looking at her she is an arab x section D which could be an interesting mix as they are both quite sharp to ride probably hence them saying she is very forward going. Would you be able to put up with this?

What did you want to do with her?

There isnt really a conformation picture so I cant comment on that but she has a lovely face :)

Thanks everyone. She does have a pretty face :)

Not sure what I'm after though - just one that doesn't nap and loads would be a blessing lol!

I've only had experience with geldings though, is there a huge difference or does it just depend on the mare's nature?

She's very pretty, I have a soft spot for chestnuts :)

I think it depends on the mare's nature. I had a mare who was not hormonal in slightest - she had quite a balanced temperment, however, my last mare was quite temperamental to say the least. One day she could be spot on, but the next she could be a little *****! The best thing to do is speak to the owner, she/he know her best. :)

Ive got a mare thats more of a gelding than most geldings, i think every horse is different so just judge her personality. Am i being blind but it doesnt show her age??? That could be an important factor. And you also need to find out why shes for loan, be wary of people who have had their horse out of work and cant be bothered to bring them back themselves so loan them out so you do the hardwork, then take them back!! Check for history of lameness/soundness as alot of people are loaning horses they can longer use. I saw an advert once that looked amazing, went to see the horse and was branded loss of use, the owner was hoping for someone who didnt know that much about horses to go and have him as he was sending him to the knackers yard if no one loaned him. Had chronic navicular :/

But she does look a lovely mare, defo worth a phonecall!!! There arent many good loans out there!!! Good luck, just be careful :)
