That greatly depends on the horse it is for I think, and what level you want t compete at.

For example some put you in a very fixed position, which can be good for more advanced people, but too restrictive for people just starting out.

Personally I think Albion are good, although not the most comfortable.

I think it has to be personal choice as we are all different shapes and sizes. On a personal note though, the only saddle which made me feel that I had died and gone to heaven is the Sue Carson Harmony. I do have an Isobell Werth (Wintec) which is very comfy, holds you in position and has recently saved a couple of nasty falls on a youngster.

I did buy and have fitted an Albion K2 which, after a while made me ride crooked, but lots of other people swear by them.

WOW, if you can get on with them. i love mine, mare doesn't love it as much as i do at the moment, saddle fitter coming out again today to sort it out, cos i love it so much.
Barry Swaine's Madonna dr. saddle has no equal, imho. flat tree, totally adjustable, tree made flexible if you want, flaps and knee rolls to suit, panels very flat and soft to spread the load as much as possible.
a lot of 'top name' saddles are built on a curved tree, like a banana, which makes for a comfy rider but not a comfy horse, as the horse's back is flat, obv. the tree is SO important, but because riders don't get to see it, it is often overlooked.
haven't tried Sue Carson saddles, have heard very good and very bad reports, so am reserving judgement!

Another vote for WOW. I've got giant dr flaps & the fixed block jumping flaps. I love it cos the air flocking saves my back. It's also been micro adjusted to make me sit in the centre because otherwise I sit to the left because my back's wrecked. My horse isn't one sided now! Adrian's top line has improved loads in a short space of time since I got it. 2 sets of stirrup bars so you're in balance both for dr (back set) & jumping (front set).

I think WOW saddles are the best for lots of reasons. Every part is changeable, lots of different head plate sizes so that you can change it as and when horse muscles up, loses weight or puts weight on. Different seat styles, different flap styles (dressage, jumping etc) you can have removeable blocks if you want, I've got dressage flaps with removeable blocks and larger blocks for jumping and lots of choice on colour. If you wanted a suede seat with leather flaps, no problem. Last but certainly not least, allows the horse freedom of movement and is soooooooo comfy for rider.

I wouldn't use anything else!
