Firstly wish me luck. Sunday is the day of the first ever dressage comp at our yard organised by me and a friend. I'm quite nervous as I think the whether is going to play a part in how many people actually turn up on the day

Secondly is it normal for people not to ring for their times. I have just sat by the phone for 2 hours waiting for people to call and I had a total of 6 phone calls and with 33 entries I'm a bit worried as to what the other entries are going to do. Am I likely to get inundated with calls between now and Sunday or does it just mean they are not coming?

Best of luck! Perhaps they think it's cancelled? They might ring you quite late beforehand as well, did you specify exactly what time people have to ring for times?

Yes between 6 and 8!!
Unfortunaltly friend did the schedules and forgot to add a space for tel no. so its not like we can contact them!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thankyou, you have just reminded me I was meant to ring for my dressage times Yesterday!

Have just rung and got them (sorry organiser!)

I automatically assumed I'd have to phone on a friday (as this is usually the case), maybe people for your show just forgot the times were meant to be rung for tonight and you'll get loads of calls tomorrow?

gah i hate people who don't ring for times. It is why I think it is essential to have the following on all dressage schedules 'if you do not ring for times within the times specified you will be deemed to have withdrawn and if applicable you will be replaced from the wait list' that scares most into ringing at the correct time

Our local venue is now posting times on the internet and you have to email to say you have collected. Might be worth a thought in the furture.

Ok so now I know why no one has called.......
Just been looking through the entries and the phone number to call is written on the entry form not on the actual schedule!!! People have probably just sent their entry in and forgotten to make a note of the phone number and date and time to call!!! How stupid do I feel oh well lesson learnt!!

Oh dear, that is a bit of bugger but at least you have realised so you can correct if for next time.
Good luck for sunday and you will have to let us know how it all went
