Thanks to everyone for the healing vibes it seems to be working!

He had his op on Friday and after a VERY nervous wait he pulled through. By the time they opened him up the gut had sorted itself so thankfully they didnt have to remove anything!

Saw him on Sat and it was heart breaking. He wasnt himself at all and was having lots of drugs pumped into him

They were removing 10l of fluid every 6 hours but thankfully thats stopped as of yesterday.

I went to visit yesterday and was able to take him for a short walk and he could have a few nibbles of grass but thats in

Once back in his stable he was hooked up to his fluids and proceeded to mug me for a polo so I know hes feeling better.
This is my mugging!

He is still very much in the woods but we hope he will have got the other side in the next few days.
Just spoken to his nurse and last night they stopped his fluids and are increasing the amount of grass hes having

I missed this - wasn't online last week - can't see pics but sounds awful, what happened? Poor lad - give him a big (but gentle) hug from me

Thanks everyone for your kind words, for those who didnt know, he was found on Friday morning with bad colic and rushed to Rossdales for an op, we had a very worrying wait but he pulled through the op OK...

Really hope that he goes on to make a full recovery, and a quick one too. You must have been so worried about your lovely horse.

You must be so pleased. Just read all the posts and am feeling very low as only had one hour sleep last night, so am now gently weeping into my keyboard at the thought of poor Oscar having such a horrible time.

I am willing him to get better, poor lamb.

Thanks for all your lovely comments its nice to know so many people care about him!

I just hope he makes steady progress and be back to his old self as soon as possible!
