Other half mounting my horse

My horse is 16'1, I'm little at 5'2 & 7.1/2 st, my aunt is about 5'7 & 10ish st, my horse can be girthy etc but when my aunt gets on we noticed she holds her reins where as I get on with loose Reins, she would also clamp her legs on a bit when she sat where as I get on very chilled, then sort my stirrups out..etc.. With her he would shoot forward, be stressy but with me nothing..

I rode an Appaloosa for a friend, When ever I got on he was fine. If she got on he arched his back and coiled up like a spring.

Also when she was selling him, when other tried him he did the same thing.

I warmed him up in the arena, he was a gem, I discounted and let the girl try him - the second she put her foot in the stirrup he cat lept away. She eventually got on and he was all dancy and acting up. Still like a coiled spring. She got off and I got back on.. was a little angel.

I was a good few stone heavier than they were, and the stirrups were the same leangth. I wasnt particularly elegant when I got on, so wasnt as if they were clumsy getting on.

The only thing we could put it down to was nerves. Was him sensing if the rider was even a fraction nervous about being on him.

He was sold eventually and found a lovely rider, who commented on how such an angel he was...

Is your OH a tad nervous of him?
