Hello all!

Just wanted to share with you my extreme pain.... and extreme happiness!!

As some folks may remember I had a long long break from riding and only started again a year or so ago, when I had a great share arrangement. Anyway, that sadly ended when I moved to London, and I decided to be brave, have proper lessons and go back to basics to really improve my position.

Although I ache all over (sitting trot for at least 30mins... surely not right?!!) and my confidence in my ability has taken a bit of a knock (

), I had a fantastic time, and will be going back next week for sure.... As long as I can walk again by then, of course.

Sorry for the self-indulgentness of this post

Thank you all! The red wine seemed to do the trick for last night's pain.... but oh how I ache this morning - lol!

Hi Marooni - I went to Mudchute Equestrian Centre on the Isle of Dogs in the end. It is very convenient for me to get to after work and I'd heard nice things about it so I thought I'd give it a try. In fact, it was great, and the horses were lovely and very contented. Once the weather picks up I will head further afield for some lovely weekend hacking I think. Thanks again for your advice!

ETS - Can anyone recommend any good on-the-ground exercises for building up riding muscles? Mine have gone a bit *erm* flabby with all the time off
