today i was jumping my mare, she was being an angel. and i got my position all wrong and got to far up in my stirrups. as we jumped she smacked my chin with her head. i have chipped a tooth have a swollen chin and my hat must have got caught in the impact as my throat where the strap sits is incredably painful

on the plus side she was really good and only knocked on pole all session which is unheard of for her as she usually flattens at least half.

Ouch indeed! That sounds really nasty.

As I hate the dentist, I'd be most upset about the tooth.

Hope you feel better soon, but well done to your girl for such a good session.

tbh my tooth doesn't really hurt, its my face/ chin where the hat was. just my luck when things are going really well i injury myself and its not even the horse doing anything wrong (very unlike her)

PBS i like (well not the right word but you know what i mean) your signiture.

thanks i'll swap you have a choice of 2! 15.3 pretty bay tb mare 8yrs old or my main man 16hh (and shrinking) bay tb gelding 17 yrs young

i'm off to try and ride my mare and hope my face doesn't hurt to much
