Tonight decided to do some loading practice ready for competition on Sunday.
Well horse is normally ok but tonight he decided to walk all way in then reverse after i had gone under breach bar, not sure quite what happened whether my finger hit the bar, or got caught in rope but it is now bruised swollen and sore. But points in right direction and i can bend it.
Hoping its just a bad sprain but got it strapped up anyway.
Hoping its better by Sunday- what do we all reckon?
Ps- i got him loaded in the end! So ended well!
 
Unfortunately it's unlikely you'll get an x-ray for a finger. I would have it checked out to make sure circulation is ok. Other than that it'll be 'buddy strapped' to another finger to heal. Good luck!
 
That's my theory- sensation and circulation all seem normal so far. Im a physio so happy enough to say that, its already buddied up and now no pain! Just a sore head, why i didn't sit at table but attempted to reach sofa on going dizzy i will never know!
 
Just be careful, I thought the same about taping mine but went to a and e and they said good job too. I had a spiral fracture that had displaced, finger looked straight originally but ended up twisted. Still causing me problems now. There was talk of surgery but I declined as they said it could go the other way!

This!!!! Mine looked fine too turned out I had a spiral fracture too!! If they think its broken they'll X-ray it!! Go get it checked even if its just for piece of mind. Ended up having mine taped for 6 weeks and I still have problems with it now especially in winter if I've ridden for some time. Hope ur pain free soon!!
 
How's finger and head this morning? I taped mine up a few yrs ago as thought i'd broken it, turned out i'd snapped the tendon and its now bent. I was offered surgery but decided i'd rather live with a bent middle finger. I swelled up so quickly you couldn't tell the tip was snapped as it looked straight just swollen.

head is fine thanks, went to minors yesterday finger fractured in middle part of pinky seems like should heal ok, until today went to fracture clinic and its a bit over bent on bending down and may need to be re shaped depending on how it looks next week.
Has anyone had o have this done? Im unsure as i dont think it will affect me too much. has anyone got a finger that bends a bit to much ?
