Today we said goodbye to our JRT Skip.... he has lived his 13 years serving us as a loving and faithful companion, champion footballer and canine Victor Meldrew. He has licked away our tears, kept our secrets, and asked for nothing in return other than a bed, a bowl of water and ad-lib dog biscuits.

Miss you stinky! :)

we lost our dog a couple of years ago. It was devastating, but we only lasted a week before we got two rescue ones. No they didn't replace Max and we were critised for getting dogs so soon, but if you are a dog person the place seems empty and it definately focused the whole family on not grieving for him and offerring badly needed homes for all those rescue dogs and you have so much doggy knowledge to pass on to a new one.

Thanks tguest.... we have three other rescues, two lurchers and a springer, and certainly not thinking of getting another yet... but that's what we said when we only had one!

Skip was extra special, as I nursed my husband through three years of cancer, and before he died he bought me Skip as a thank-you as I'd had to give up my horses when he was ill. So its like another link to my husband is gone.

RIP Skip.
I lost Joey 2 weeks ago and still missing soo much....
But looking forward to new bungle of joy coming soon...
Lucky u have others to keep u company.
Skip is happy playing with many other dogs
