I was going to post this in Comp Riders but it felt too strange so I thought I'd stay in here
I entered Bentley into BD Intro dressage competition today (walk and trot only as the world isn't ready for our transitions into canter
Mostly I was keen to get him abit of 'exposure' to the scary world of competition and warming up in a crowd- it felt so very odd riding my big baby amongst 'real horses' but he stayed as calm as ever and behaved like a real pro
So we went in for the test and he went reeeeally well, very soft and obedient despite all the distractions and I even remembered the test
I braced myself for the critical comments from the judge as I picked up my results, hoping it would be constructive so we could learn from them
and was BLOWN AWAY to find a first place rossette stapled to it!!!!!
We got 69.1% which was 7s with two 6s (one for a squiffy 20m circle and one for a sloppy turn onto the centre line
)
* * * * I am so proud of my little lad* * * *
I'm sorry I have no pics, I promise I will next time
