We have come back in one piece...

Grace worked in really well, and after a few panics with the other horses she seemed to relax a bit more and let me ride her. But as we were getting ready to go into the test, a small pony started screaming and Grace thought this was fun and started screaming back at it the whole way through her test. She was not listening properly, had a few shies and finished with an almighty scream at X!

We came out with 59.16% which is not the best score in the world, but at least she went and didn't buck me off... I think lots of practise is now required, the more she gets out competing the more she will realise she is there to do a job.

Not a bad score either, better than my first time!

Flora did the same in her first test, except it was a stallion she was neighing to.

Well done, and v acceptable score for first time.

Thanks... it was not only her first dressage competition, but her first ever show! I have taken a lot of positive things from today, and apart from shouting she coped with the whole thing incredibly well.

Like you said, just need more miles on her clock now!

Thanks... we have two prelims booked next Saturday and then after that I will see how she is getting on as to whether she should be affiliated or not.
