It took hours to clean these feathers - we wanted evidence that they were clean!

Good luck when the day comes :) I have only had her for 4 months and she is my first horse so I thought in hand classes for our first show would be enough. She behaved like such a pro though - defo going to do some ridden shows soon!

She's beautiful, well done to the both of you! Loving the feathers ;). How old is she? She looks really bum high in the pics or is that a trick of the camera?

I had a few people comment on that - they thought she was a clydie foal! She is 8 yrs old, the vet said it is just the way she is with her breeding. Some of the photos do make it looks worse tho. I need to work on getting her to stand up nicer but its our first show so we can work on this for future :)

What lovely feathers and a kind eye! what classes did you show her in?

Her kind eye was the first thing that stood out to me when I viewed her. I went back the following day to see her again (following a fall off another horse I was trying) and I was a bit battered and bruised but was determinded to try her again as I was scared she would get snapped up by someone else. I got on and she really looked after me - she is such a gentle, laid back girl. Takes everything in her stride! Anyway - I digress!

I showed her in the potential ride and drive class and a special class for heavy breeds.

I am finding that all the local shows dont seem to have many in hand classes for horses like her - they are all aimed at pure bred welshies, arabs etc so I was really happy when I saw the schedule for Banchory did classes that we could actually enter!
