Our first solo hack!

I took Lil for her first hack round the farm on her own tonight and I'm alive to tell the tale!

Poor lamb was subjected to a number of completely tuneless hymn renditions as I desperately tried to keep breathing evenly. We did have some tantrums but she settled nicely once we had established that she couldn't throw me off.

Big thanks to lovely OH who came with me to supervise.

Oh thank you for this post! I took Poppy out on my own after a successful accompanied hack yesterday. I recited the alphabet backwards and sang Bernard Cribbins "Right said Fred, climbing up a ladder" or words to that effect! Got home in one piece!

Wow, well done you. What an achievement for you. I too am having a few confidence issues taking my boy out alone at the mo too. Good ols oh's eh?

Thanks all. Its just so nice to get the first one over and done with so you can move forwards. She might have had a strop today but it didn't come to anything so I'm sure it won't be as bad next time and before long she'll have accepted it as normal.
