Our first Swallows are here. South Bucks

15 mins ago our first swallow, now there are two chasing each other round, the males are chasing for nests.

No swallows here yet but they generally arrive after the wild geese have left the bog to summer in Iceland which they did last week and the arrival of the cuckoo in early May.

We have some birds that arrived today. I'm not sure if they're swifts or shallows though. We are in Scotland if that gives anyone a clue. Do swifts come earlier?

Swifts come later, usually beginning of May. It will be swallows or house martins you might be seeing at the moment

We had two swallows yesterday for the first time in Cambs!
