We took him down to Royal Leisure last night as we have people viewing him to buy him who wanted to see him jump a course - and he was just perfect!! He loaded and unloaded calmly and quietly in the dark and the cold... stood in the pitch black with all the noise and other horses coming from the schools whilst we tacked and booted him up... warmed up with a couple of horses who really weren't being very well behaved, bucking, kicking and rearing up bolt upright, and he didn't even blink an eyelid at them... it was his first time indoors, with all the lights etc and he wasn't worried by that either, and then he went in and jumped the course, a couple were at 90cm and most at 1m, and produced a calm steady balanced clear round!! He looked and acted like he'd been doing it all his life!! I'm so proud!!

He's being vetted in the next couple of days...

will be very very sad to see him go though, after last night we were very much 'erm... why are we selling this horse?!' but I really want him to go on and fulfill his potential and we've got so much on I can't see me being able to do that with him, he's going to make such an amazing little horse

The chestnut is also going really well, he's taking longer than the grey but we always knew he would do, he's obviously had a hard time in the past so he's got a lot more attitude and therefore we're working him a lot slower, lots of flatwork and patience

his paces are so beautiful, really elevated and extravagant, and the few bits of jumping we've done with him have proved he is very bold and has a huge amount of scope - he'll get there eventually, and talent wise I think he's better than the grey, but I just think he's never going to be a novice ride...

I did like him better !! when you take him to RL let me know i want to come and watch !!

I will do... but he's much more likely to be the nervy one prancing about everywhere and being a nonce, unlike the grey

it shouldn't be too long though, once the grey goes we can give him all our attention and he should come along nicely... well thats the plan!!
