aaaaahhhhhhhh poor little thing get the feeling this is one that in a couple of months will be crying out for a before and after. How old is he?? He has got an adorable face ( that is as far as my conformation critique goes!!)

lol yes he is a rescue. Just put our new show pony as a laugh - the owner said he is!!!
He is 21 we rehomed a 26 year old black Shetland that looked years younger.
The camera puts weight on. He is actually skin and bone with a mahooosive stomach. His paddock was docks and ragwort
He is a real sweetheart.
We were actually in the local paper at the weekend being so desperate. I got a call about him and couldn't turn away. When i saw the conditions he was living in i was glad i didn't. Vets bills now to discover if he has ragwort poisoning.
If the photo of him on the lush grass is at your place Silver Florin, please, please don't! Looking at his feet (not just the shape, but the "event lines" around the hooves) it wouldn't surprise me if he's laminitic.
Like OC above, I'm guessing that he's a rescue. In which case I'm sure his luck's changed for the better and you'll do the very best for him.
As for conformation, well if I were rescuing a little pony like that, then quite honestly I wouldn't give a damn about conformation.

That pic was actually in my front garden. He was there long enough to have the pic taken. We couldn't find the key to the newbie paddock and was supposed to be being held there whilst we found the key. He is on sparse grazeing as all he had to eat was docks and ragwort. It will be a while before he has proper grass
We see a lot of these rings in starved horses.
He is being fed very carefully.
It was a very good comment to make though and worth saying just incase
