They keep coming out of the lake in the gardens and into the yard.

I don't know if they're hungry or something but they scare me and they won't go away! They were hanging round the stable barn entrance this morning so I gently tried to shoo them away with a broom but got told, in swan, to s*d off. I had to shut the big barn doors to keep them out.

They are currently wandering around in front of the boss's house.

Anyone know how to get them to stay in the blooming gardens?

Put more food in the gardens? Fence it off? Play a recording of a big macho swan honking so they run away?!

Not sure - but our geese used to be very determined about going where they wanted and it was remarkably difficult to stop them.

Watch the backs of your legs!

Its the time of year, the swans where I used to stay did this every year, think its make baby swan time. For some reason this makes them wander. The ones where I used to stay were pretty determined to go where they felt like so good luck stopping them.

Cheers guys. They've been here years but they've only just started doing this. They normally stay near the lake and eat the weeds. Hopefully they will chill again soon. I don't like it when they get too cocky 'cause one once went for the driving ponies before I worked here and caused it to bolt.
