As some of you know this summer we bought two JRTs - a brother and sister from the same litter.
Well that's probably enough to let you know that I knew as little about dogs as I do about horses. Well we have been on a steep learning curve and we still have a lot of work to do with them. But today I took them for a walk in a busy park and was so pleased with them I had to tell you all. They had a lovely time - but most importantly came every time I called them and stayed close to me when I told them to - listened to me when I told them not to jump up at people, avoided the other dogs and generally behaved very well!!
They are gorgeous dogs - who are mostly house trained - we have the odd accident - but the house has stopped smelling like a dog loo!! They are so sweet and affectionate and we love them very much - despite the disruption. Even the cats have got used to them and I only have to raise my voice once to stop the dogs chasing the cats. (We have seven of them - cats that is.)
