Luckily no horses, rugs or tack stolen (everyone keeps tack at home anyway) but lock on gate cut, barns broken into and a lot of farm machinery taken, including a brand new flatbed trailer.
The two horse trailers kept at the yard (one of them mine) had had their jockey wheels removed and put to one side, guessing as a prelude to hitching them up as high as possible to tow them away without wheel locks dragging on ground? But luckily both trailers had wheel locks on back wheels so not possible.
We think it might have been this morning (obviously really early) as some horses were a bit wound up when liveries started arriving around 7am (my TB who is fairly easily stressed, not having been here long, had massive sweat marks underneath rug).
Police came- they are taking it pretty seriously, there have been previous break ins but not for two years or so I don't think. Most likely travellers as they can be a problem round here, and it was them before.
Think my dad is going to take the trailer home to his house tonight.
The yard is in S. Cambs.

Hiya, are you still at Sarahs?

I had a visit from Pikeys yesterday, luckily the dogs spotted them and made their presence known, they left rapidly in a blue 3.5t type pick up lorry, with some scrap metal in the back. I'm not that far from you I don't think

PM me some details if you have moved yards.
