Major kudos if you got this far! I got a bit excited

Ooooh well done - I have a fatty too so I hope he will look much better by next year!
Your horse is very lucky to have got picked up by you and you both look to have had loads of fun together already.

Lovely pics. Just the teeniest bit of critisism, just because it really bugs me. Pop your noseband a hole higher and do it up tighter to avoid the flash pulling it down onto the nostrils.

Well done you for getting so far.

Heya, thanks, yeah I know about the noseband it's twisted up at the top, but I'm waiting for the YO to dig out her hole punch so I can put a coupe more holes in it! Not the most organised YO in the world!

She's lovely! Well done!

I was going to mention the noseband too - you are restricting her breathing with the strap across her nostril like that. Pleeeeease get that hole punch soon

I take my hat off to you! She looks fantastic AND you have given her a purpose in life. Well done, you have done her proud

. Now, when can you fit my mare in?

By the way, your yard looks amazingly good

Mairi.

Thanks. Yeah I'm in touch with the owner, she was a girl in the year below me in 6th form and basically it turns out what had happened was she had a bad fall just before she brought the horse over to England, which must have knocked her confidence and with coming to England/starting a new college/being away from home she lost interest and just didn't bother with the horse any more. It's all a bit odd actually because she's quite a nice girl, but I guess it just got a bit much!

What an amazing transformation. Well Done.

I have got to say she looks fantastic, as she could be my boys twin.

You cannot believe someone would just abandon a horse like that, but I'm afraid I have seen it myself in the past. Anyway, their loss is your gain
grin.gif

just out of interest is your boy selle francais? I've just been looking around, but I can't seem to find many others in England, just curious as to why not really when they're so lovely!
laugh.gif

No, nothing that exotic, my boy is a Brock herd New Forest and nothing like the height of your mare, but has almost identical colouring, even down to the star on his head.

She looks fantastic now, you've done a really good job. Looks like you've lost a fair bit yourself aswell over the last year - congratulations.

Out of curiosity do you have a current pic from side on to show her condition?

My friend also owns a mare who was abandoned at a livery yard... it would seem its a surprisingly common occurence
